6th May:- Road Closed Morning Open Afternoon!

12th April:- A Message from John Wilson! The high tides covering all the islands and now low water due to leaking sluice seems to have put them off. Plus all the unavoidable disturbance trying to repair the sluice and the electic fence. Hope they return but think it unlikely. They had eggs last year by April 14th. Black headed gulls though are still present in numbers but fewer yesterday than before the high tides. I think there have been Two Nesting attempts this year, one on The Flood and a second on The Allen Pool but the Flooding and unavoidable Disturbance have frightened most of The Avocets away!
